Digital Raised Spot UV and how to use it!
Digital raised Spot UV, otherwise known as digital emobssing, is made possible utilizing our Duplo DuSense Sensory Coater. The sensory effect is available from 20 to 80 microns in thickness and can be used to create beautiful textures onto your printed goods that will help your print quite literally stand out!

Preparing your file as above means that we only need 1 file supplying to us when you order your job, and there’s no need to send us a separate file with just the Spot UV in it.
How does the Spot UV effect align with the printed sheet?
Twin cameras within the machine read the Image Registration Marks printed on the flat sheets whilst your job is undergoing the Digital Spot UV process. This allows precise image registration within a 0.2mm tolerance, catering for X&Y image shift, skew and twist – particularly useful if the sheets have stretched slightly after laminating.
Can you Spot UV on top of anything?
At present our DuSense Sensory Spot UV can only be used on print that has either been Litho printed, printed on a HP Indigo Digital Press, or laminated with a Matt or Soft Touch laminate. We are currently unable to offer the Sensory Spot UV onto Uncoated papers and boards.

Simply use our completely FREE Sensory Spot UV Test Sheet service. We’ll print your design on our HP Indigo 12000, Matt Laminate it, apply the Sensory Spot UV and post it out to you free of charge.
